Touch

On December 11th, Outram Blue played Green Island and had had ther first loss 7 - 11 . It was a hard game, personally I thought that the team forgot the basics. Some people were doing some good two man splits up the wings and up the middle but when we got to the line know one would take the touch's and made silly passes and turned the ball over.

Outram White- Outram Whites played Taieri, It was a tough battle but in the end Taieri beat us 5-3. There were some silly passes but great two man splits. It was great that the boys let the girls have a go at running up the field and attempting to get a try.

Outram Red- Outram Red played East Taieri. WE didn't play too bad and we got the hang of some of the moves including a two man split and had a go at one of the Otago Rep moves. The Red's did win 12-9 and could of got beaten if we didn't start scoring in the last minutes of the game.

Outram School at Megamilk Sports 2007

The megamilk sports day was on Monday the 1st of December. The events were fun and involved teamwork and co-operation games. 12 year 5/6 students were selected to be in the team, also one of the What-Now presenters 'Charlie' my was there. My favourite event was the 'ski biscuit pull' where you had to get into a group of three and one person gets into the biscuit with a orange flag on a pole. The other two people tow the biscuit using two ropes tied to the front of the biscuit and pull the biscuit down a track. Once at the end of the track the person being towed must plant the flag into the ground. Overall it was a really fun day.
