Miniball

Outram Red vs. East Taieri 1
A fast paced game, with a flurry of baskets shot in the first 2 quarters. East Taieri put on stronger defence in the last two quarters, slowing down the scoring frenzy. Outram showed determination and perseverance in getting baskets in the last quarter – no mean feat! Defence, again, was awesome. They supported each other well and passed the ball around to fend off East Taieri. Well done guys! Player of the day went to Zara S for scoring the most baskets with 9, controlled play and for being committed on defence. Score: 34/6 to Outram.
Outram Yr 7/8 vs Taieri Blue
What a game! The Blues worked together as a team while putting up lots of baskets and defending their rebounds. With a score of 33-13 at half time the team kept up the hard work. Aaron H had a fantastic game on attack and on defence while Bayley G dribbled down the court and put up a lay-up at the other end. Cam M weaved in and out of the the players with excellent dribbling and the whole team played a great game winning 47-28. The team is still undefeated and players from this team least year have now not lost a game for a year!

Outram Whites vs Fairfield

The game was interesting to watch and to play in. The first 2 quarters we were losing by about ten points. The opposition's
number 12 was doing most of the work! In the third quarter No12 was not in play so we had our chance and took it!
Player of the day is awarded to Celine T for scoring 14 points. The final score was 22/18 to Outram. Another great game
team.

Outram School Netball

Outram Hawks had a fantastic win against East Taieri, 4-0.

Player of the Day was Rachel B from Lee-Stream School. However all players deserve credit for a game well played.

East Taieri had been picked as possibly the strongest opposition but the girls went in and gave it their all. Centre (Zoe F) played an all round super game. She was brilliant at both attack and defence and was a key player in stopping the ball from getting to the East Taieri shooters. Our shooters (Holly and Courtney) managed to retain a lot of possession with some really good rebounds by GA and GS.

GK and WD (Nicole and Nakesha) had good defensive support, making sure the ET shooters didn't get their hands on the ball too often.
Well done the HAWKS!

Lexy S and Zara S got player of the day on Saturday for their netball teams and both were playing at Goal Keeper!
Lexy for the Outram Steel - who lost to Abbotsford 5-1 in a very close game.
Zara S for Outram Cheetahs - Another resounding win for this team who are playing above their age group in the graded section, with great goal shooting from Rebecca S and Kate B. Brooke M also had a fantastic game at WA.

Rugby 10's

The Outram 10's team played Arthur Street School yesterday at Robin Hood park. The team played extremely well with forwards and backs linking together to score some great team tries. Jordan B was a tireless worker for the forwards always taking the ball forward and Cam M gave the backs direction and found some gaps around the ruck. The halftime score was 37-0 to Outram. We gave Arthur Street Josh A and Aaron H but they didn't stop the tries coming and the final score was 87-0 to Outram. Next week we are playing our rivals St Mary's at Outram School at 1:45pm. Come and support the team and enjoy some enterprising rugby!!
