On Friday 11th September 11 Outram School students competed in the Otago Cross Country. To qualify for this you needed to get top 6 in the Outram School Cross Country and top 3 in the South Taieri Schools Cross Country. All the students ran very well on the day, below are the placings.
Yr 5- 1st Malachi Bushcl
3rd Jacob Beal-Harris

Yr 6- 2nd Georgia Bushcl
6th Zara Styles
15th Brooke Miller

Yr 7- 30th Nicola Lord

Yr 8- 18th Daniel Gruppelar

So as you can the Outram Students achieved fantastic results overall considering there were around 100 people in each race. Be very proud of them and if you see them around don't forget to say congratulations!

Outram Red,White and Yr 3/4 Teams

Outram Dominate Taieri Schools Basketball

Outram has won 2 of the 3 sections at the Taieri School basketball competition. The yr ¾ team won their final against East Taieri 7-3. The yr 5/6 Whites won division 2 easily by beating Elmgrove 27-3. The Reds who finished the round robin in first equal, lost to East Taieri 18-10 in an intense final. This has been a fantastic year for all our teams with the yr 7/8 team also winning the Otago schools mixed final. Well done to all players and a big thank you to our fantastic parent managers!

Outram Red vs. Elmgrove Black-Semi Final

The Reds had their semi final last night and it took awhile but once the Reds hit their straps, they held Elmgrove off convincingly, coming away with a win. Ella W had a great game, defending and shooting well, showing she was a force to be reckoned with on the court! The Reds had patches of panic with them giving away easy ball to the opposition which we don’t want to see next week in the finals. The Reds will need to be convincing from the word go and keep their composure to win this game and be the top team for years 5/6 mixed miniball. Go the Reds! Player of the Day this week: Nathan Coldwell for shooting well under pressure and showing what great defence skills he has. Score: 31/21to Outram Reds
