Outram Touch

Blues-To be honest we had an average game this week with some simple errors that cost us a few points. But in the end we pulled off the win 7-3 against Taieri College. Sophie M had a great game scoring 2 tries for the team.
Whites- It was a good game with a 5-2 win to the Outram Whites team against Fairfield. David D scored a great try so did Ayden Mc, Christie W and Joshua A both scored tries. Neither of the teams were great on defence but the Whites were fast enough to get 5 tries before the end of the game. It was a very exciting game for all of us.
Reds-The Reds has a loss to St Marys. The Reds played really well in the first half with some great two person splits moves scoring easy tries. The team tired in the second half and let St Marys score the winning try late in the second half. Players to stand out were Aleisha A and Cam M.

Touch-Week1

The Blues and Reds both started with a draw for the season. The Whites had a big loss but were playing a team older and more experienced. The Reds had a 4 all draw with Elmgrove, the team played really well and moved the ball around the field while making easy yards up the middle. The Blues had a hard fought 10 all draw with St Marys. This was a significant result considering the Blues were beaten by 10 tries by the same team at the end of the previuos season. Great tries by Olivia H and Emma P helped the team capture the lead just after halftime. St Marys used the speed and skill of two of their experienced Touch players to bring the game to a draw. After 3 weeks of games the module will be broken into three sections catering for the differing skills of all the teams.
